Nasir Rakib is a Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Cesar Torres in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research focuses on smart textiles, IoT, digital fabrication, and sustainability. He believes the next decade will see significant advances in sustainable and smart textile manufacturing. Since beginning his Ph.D., he has been addressing challenges in smart textile processing and striving to make textile manufacturing more interactive and accessible for HCI enthusiasts. He is eager to collaborate with innovative, interdisciplinary HCI research teams where he can contribute, explore, and engage with creative makers.
